Greeting Card Background Tutorial – White Rose Crafts – Dec Kit

Welcome Back!

Today, I’m sharing a small tutorial for making a card background. White Rose CraftsFestive Elegance Monthly Kit is beautiful. If you have not ordered your kit yet you better run and do it before they run out.

I took three pieces of stripped papers from the December Kit. I cut them in three diangle pieces. I then glued them in a sequence as seen below. Each card base has once piece of each color. Hope that makes sense. 🙂

Next, I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the new assembled background. I used the rubber mat to only emboss and not cut thru the paper.

After embossing the paper I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink to fully ink the backgrounds.

After the inking I used the snowflake stamp from the Dec kit to stamp and emboss the snowflakes. I used VersaMark ink and Ranger Silver Tinsel Embossing Powder.

To finish the cards I added the snowflake button embellishment that came in the kit, a title from the Sticker sheet, and some Sequins from the Doodle Paper Playground collection.

I enjoyed all the steps to achieve this look! It’s fun to get messy once in a while. I hope you will take sometime to try this background technique.

Thanks so much for stopping by
